FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Murfreesboro, TN (September 21st, 2022) - MTSU’s student-run record label, Match Records, had four artists perform at the 2022 MT Engage Fest. The artists that performed were Legendary Nedge, Cam Harris, Treat Coastal and Chaz Crawford. Each of these artists are current MTSU Bragg College of Media and Entertainment students, who are passionate about developing their music and artistry through the help of Match Records. All four of the Match Records artists enjoyed getting to perform for and share their music with their fellow MTSU students. SUMMARY OF EVENT Every year, the MTSU music business fraternity, Omega Delta Psi hosts the MT Engage Fest, September 20th, 2022, from 10:00am to 4:00pm, as a part of the MTSU Engage Week for that school year. This year MTSU’s Match Records participated by booking an hour slot, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, and filling this hour with performances from four of the record label’s artists; Legendary Nedge, Cam Harris, Treat Coastal and Chaz Crawford. This event was held on the steps of the Bragg Building in the MTSU Quad. All the artists performed to multiple different students, whether they were walking to class, hanging out in the quad, or actively participating as part of the crowd for the performances. This event went off well, and Match Records looks forward to participating in the future! About Chaz Crawford - Meshing the borders of bedroom pop, soft rock, and electronic, Chaz Crawford often explores themes of early adulthood, and the struggle to adapt to a changing world. This Lexington, Kentucky born native got into music under the influence of his older brothers, looking to impress them. Crawford aims to supply the most real form of self-expression while bonding with the listener through a shared common experience. With a combination of uncanny guitar tones, glitchy vocals, introspective lyrics, and slamming drums, Chaz Crawford looks to ask the oldest questions of humanity in a new context. About Cam Harris - Cam Harris is a 21-year-old up and coming singer and songwriter from the small town of Leitchfield, Kentucky. He hopes to inspire others from small towns that anything is possible if you work hard. TikTok put him on the map when his song "10.4" went viral. Cam is known for his catchy hooks and saucy melodies. His inspirations are people such as Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper, and Machine Gun Kelly. In contrary, Cam hopes to bring a brand-new sound to the mix and give you something to listen to at any time or anywhere. About Treat Coastal - 19-year-old from Charlotte, North Carolina. Along with producing, writing, recording, mixing, and mastering all my music, he enjoys performing and playing guitar. About Legendary Nedge - t’s been said that music is the language of the soul, a concept Nedge has taken to heart throughout his young career as a professional in the music industry.
